Some modellers prefer to use 'Set Track' rather than fiddling about with bending Flexible track, although Peco do provide 'Radius Tracksetta', (radius track setting tool) in various radii.

Here are two diagrams with all the Peco Set Track and Hornby Set Track curves and what minimum width of baseboard is required to fit each and every diameter of track available.

Hopefully this will help 'new modellers' with choosing their track. Please note that most 'train sets' come with a minimum radius of set track radius 2. In Peco speak, that is ST226, for Hornby that is R607.

    Cheers, Gary.
