Some modellers prefer to use 'Set Track' rather than fiddling about with bending Flexible track, although Peco do provide 'Radius Tracksetta', (radius track setting tool) in various radii. Here are two diagrams with all the Peco Set Track and Hornby Set Track curves and what minimum width of baseboard is required to fit each and every diameter of track available. PECO. HORNBY. Hopefully this will help 'new modellers' with choosing their track. Please note that most 'train sets' come with a minimum radius of set track radius 2. In Peco speak, that is ST226, for Hornby that is R607. Cheers, Gary.
Seen lots of great stuff in the few minutes I've been a member, is for your really useful post esp to one like me who has yet to even make a start.
Great to read that you have found some very useful info in the very short time you have been here. Cheers, Gary.
