The NCB Jinty arrived today faster post from UK than a local supplier work that out.
It's a nice loco unusual livery but that what I liked about, it's going to benefit from some more weathering than the factory effort.
Part of the draw of the NCB is all the opportunity's to add extra heavy weathering to the models with so many photos of locos and the surrounding area of the pits showing all the years of work staining.

The beginnings of a fun little layout there Chris.
I too like the colour of the Jinty.

Thanks Marty was missing having an OO layout so what a good excuse to put some thing together plus all the J94 NCB Locos won't be just shelf dwellers :avatar: well they will be on a shelf layout I plan to mount this on the wall when done as it is nice and small so I can have a bit of fun shunting any time I feel like it
this photo below found via a Google search for the loco number shows the weathering that I can try and emulate a great shot to not sure who took it but it's a good one.:worship:

Finally made friends with Anyrail we'll sort of got close to throwing the mouse at the monitor when the whole lot disappeared when Anyrail decide to auto update itself and restarted :mad::mad:

    But this is the result
Starting on the left rear Steam "engine shed" with coal stage the top centre is the winding house and pit head winder centre is a water tank for steam
Front is a modern concreat hard stand refuel point for the diesels
At the right Rear hidden track to the rest of the world this has a conveyor from the pit building as a view block leading to the loading screener's at front right.:facepalm:cramped I guess but self contained will make a great working diorama to display my NCB Locos

A hybrid 5-6 I think I started with 5 then finished with 6 as it auto updated whilst I was drawing this up wiped what I was doing and then said parts hadn't up loaded then I was able to get started again when I closed it down it said 2 modules hadn't loaded correctly

For the majority of my track plans, I use the 'free download' as it does what I want it to do, ie small layouts. I have both 5 and 6 downloaded. Five is where I mastered the art and six has a few newer features, ie, the 3D view.

    Cheers, Gary.

Only draw back I can see is the lack of a run round, otherwise love it.

No runaround was part of the plan, that way so you need to make use of 2 Locos to get the train sorted.
Needed some justification to have lots of engines on scene.:avatar:

Had another delivery from UK this morning from Knight-wing just as we were leaving the house these are all for the NCB plank build
How can a parcel travel from the UK to Australia faster than one can get from the next state

Will have to wait till tonight to look through it as currently Training it to the Big smoke for a medical appointment
Hopefully will be able to get into the Shinys tonight as long as the body survive the tip in one piece :avatar:

    Chris

Because Aussie Post only delivers every second day?

all the best with the appointment.

Paul, my idea of a run around is chasing the 44 class just before it runs off the track and onto the floor. Need to get those buffers and the platform up.

    Thanks for all the comment's

After a painful trip to another dodgy Doctor in the big Sydney Town. We got back to the Central Coast just before peak period trains North got stopped by some one getting run over by a train :faint:
I did get to wander into Hobby Co in the city but what a waste stupid prices on Hornby models a guy who I guess wouldn't know what customer service was working in there and stacks of odd models or kits that no one wants sad Sate as HobbyCo was, years ago the place to go, there was one item that I may have been interested in but gave up waiting as a guy who was in front of me trying to get service took forever to get it that I couldn't be bothered waiting any longer. So if any one wants a Dapol O scale pil box guards van in BR grey they still have one but no idea how much.

Better stuff was waiting at home for the plank

The engine shed is a snap fit so quickly snaped it together to see if to fits the spot and it should do the trick with a bit of work on it some extra detail bits and some paint and weathering may even put a corrugated roof on it
