Hello Gary, Slow but steady. I'm working on 4 platform canopies and then they'll be stuck in position when complete Regards Alanhttp://www.click
Hello All & one, Here are the latest pics showing from the station building to the footbridge and just for fun I added a bit of stock. All major building is now finished and only fiddly bits to add, which I will do at a later date. Enjoy and comment to your hearts desire. Regards Alan
Hello Matt, the stock was put on for photos only. My main goal is to get it set up in a hall to see if everything works. Regards Alan
Evening All, Here are 3 pics of all the scenery boards in my very uneven and soaking wet back garden. I have taken a video of said boards but have not sussed out how to upload it yet. Comments Criticisms advice are welcome. Enjoy. regards Alan
Hi Alan, I doubt you are going to get much in the way of critisism somehow. It looks very good indeed. The overall bridge is star of the show. Better get that back inside before the rain comes on. I think it will gain a lot of attention when you get it to a exhibition. Well done Sir. cheers toto
Hello Toto, thank you for your comments but I came very close to scrapping it as it got damaged by me and the cat. I broke a station canopy supports and the cat broke a water crane and just for good measure I put a hole in the building roof as I was putting it a way. As for exhibitions I live in hope for an invite. Regards Alan
Those panels look great together. That's a bummer that some damage was done, although you did get some great pics of the layout. That 9F is sitting precariously close to the edge... A 2" wall of clear polycarbonate sheeting may come in handy there. As for uploading videos, you are best uploading to youtube from your computer. It does take a little while for the upload to take place, but once it's there, you can post up a link or use this : Inserting You Tube videos into a Post Paul has written a pretty good explaination on how to upload a youtube clip to a post. Cheers, Gary.
Hello Gary, That thought had crossed my mind about a wall of some description. As it is a passing loop the speed would not be that fast, but little hands may be faster at exhibitions. Regards Alan
Hello all, Had to do a repair job to a station canopy after I 'Belly Bombed' it and broke the supports like match sticks so here are a few pics to show the damage and results opf adaptation of said canopy. Comments Advice Criticism welcome. Regards Alan
That's a good 'turn around' of the damaged kit. My only 'constructive' critisism would be the width of the building itself. One more suggestion is to extend the building to where the two roof sections meet, as the join between the two sections does look chunky. I would extend the building to the line shown below, or another option would be to remove the barge boards from the two ends joining (above the green line), and making it one 'flowing' roof. Cheers, Gary.
Hello Gary, Sorry for late reply, this was due to my cat walking on my key board so had to reset from scratch. Thank you for your comment and have acted upon your suggestion about the barge boards and will be fitting it on the 25th. I will do the others on an as needed basis. Regards Alan http://www.click
Hello Toto, The window frames are just painted on with Humbrol 34 white and the 'glass' is any clear packing bits I have laying about. Its all cheap and cheerful. Regards Alan
Hi Alan I'd be very proud of that if it were mine excellent mate, you've certainly made more progress that some of us (no names no pack drill) Ian
Got to agree with Ian Great results and FAR more progress than on some layouts we could name *cough cough * gotta go !! Cheers Matt
Hello Toto, Curiosity has got the better of me. What word has been over written with a bleep because as far as I know I just stated that my windows were made of any clear packaging laying about. I would NEVER put any bad language in an email. Moan over. Regards Alan
