Great news. I finished off all the etching yesterday and have sprayed the bridge with a grey Vallejo Acrylic primer ready for the top coat of paint.
I will post photos when I can.

Thanks Ian. I won't get a chance to paint it until next week as I'm busy with work until Monday, but then I will have a few days to play around with it.

The viaduct has been painted using Vallejo Primer and Acrylics.
I have used Middlestone as a base colour then it has been weathered with about 8 different colours.

After a good week of drying I have cut the cork for the trackbed and glued it down using Dunlop Cork Tile adhesive.

    Thank Ian.
But I think masterpiece is a little over the top.
Once it's in place and scenery done I think it will look quite good.

I err towards Ian's assessment. :avatar: a very nice piece of the masters variety.

A very nice job of the weathering. The colours look very natural. Looking forward to seeing it in place.

Thanks Toto, I am pretty happy how it's looking.
I have a few days off over Christmas and hope to get some of the scenic form work done.

This is all fantastic work! Sorry, I have only recently joined the forum and have no real work to show (apart from salvaging cheap second hand locos and chipping them!) so I am currently "lurking" and following the threads. Some absolutely superb modelling on show along with some lovely little additions/hints and tips that I will definitely be taking/stealing when I start my layout properly. With proper provision to any copyright that I need to pay attention to obviously!

Thank you sir, I am following your progress with interest, albeit in the shadows!

    Cheers,

    Dom

I think we all start off the same just to get the feel of what's going on. Your certainly picking the right thread to follow here. Some fantastic work and I'm sure Steve will only be too happy that his work is inspiring others.

Make good use of these holidays Steve.:avatar:

The viaduct is now in place and the track has been re-laid. I replaced a section of it with a right hand turnout as I'm planning to make a siding that runs off to a coal mine or quary.
