I also have the CMX track cleaner. It's quite a weight though, so I guess, like me, you've found you need quite a powerful loco to shove it around, but it does 'do the business'! Mine came with Kadee's fitted, which was handy as I've converted all my stock to them already. I use Isopropanol in my CMX, what do you find works best?

A quick update. After spending last Saturday in Perth at the train show and being inspired by the award winning Lord Street Depot I have started construction on a scenic break for the fiddle yard.
I'd been wondering what I could put there and have decided that a low relief warehouse and siding would be perfect.
I plan to use the Scalescenes Wharehouse to create a small industrial area which will help to conceal the fiddle yard.
I'm away from home tonight ( in Perth again) so can't upload a photo , but have some days off coming up and will put pictures up when I get home.
Here's the kit I'm looking at.

    Cheers Steve

Thanks Toto. My wife is heading to Zurich and Greece for her sisters wedding next week, so I'm staying home to look after our son. While he is at school I'll be busy in the train room getting 'stuff' done. Who knows I may even finish some of the Airfix model kits I've been working on, Maybe the 1/24 Hurricane will even get close to being finished.

Great modelling Steve ... er I've got 3 1/35 model tanks (2 x Tamiya Chieftain and Challenger and 1 x AFV Centurion) to build when you've got a minute.

A quick update with photos to follow.
The DCC concepts Powerbase packs turned up today.
The stainless steel plates have been glued onto the four track ramps and are weighted down with bricks tonight ensuring a good secure finish.
This morning I was able to prime the small town extension board which runs out onto the fiddle yard board and forms part of a new scenic break I'm creating.
I downloaded the amazing Scalescenes Low Relief Factory today and have printed it off ready to start the building phase.
I also borrowed my neighbour's table saw and cut up ply back boards to use as formers for the scenic break.

The low relief factory kit (TO27) is excellent as you say. It is enjoyable to build as well.

A little tip for you, use a 20 cent coin to cut the arches above the windows, it's perfect as a cutting template.

I'll be looking forward to the updates and don't forget the pics as you go.

    Cheers, Gary.

    Thanks for the tip Gary.
I was going to say thanks for your ten cents worth, but that's not quite enough is it?
Maybe if I say it twice......

It's the same size as a £2 coin. Just checked it. If you want one can send you one (20c that is)

Last week I glued all the Stainless steel plates under the tracks on the ramps.Today I've been fitting Neo magnets to the underside of my locomotives. It's slow going because to get the best results from the magnets they need to be as close to the sleepers as I can get them without them catching on point work etc.
I've done a West Country and a Battle of Britain with another BoB to be done tomorrow. They were fairly straight forward and I have fitted 3 pairs of magnets to the underside which is giving them great adhesion to the ramp. So far I can get the BoB to pull six standard carriages up without slipping. It was only doing two in the Pre Magnet or PM era.
More fitting and load testing will continue tomorrow.....

I also printed off a new card for the Lever Frame. The old one wasn't aligned correctly with the levers. At the same time I did a new loco list.

And here are the photos of the DCCconcepts magnet fitting process. It's fairly straight forward and requires the use of wood glue and a ton of bricks.... literally.
