I’ve split the boards for the first time since ballasting and luckily there’s been no issues

 

My dads birthday present arrived ( Dapol Mk1 ) so after checking it over I took the opportunity to grab a few shots with the Holloway Tunnel board.
The teignton lane board is heading back to Bristol Saturday which will give me time to finish teignton falls on this board and hopefully there’s a few more trees due to arrive imminently that can be planted before it also returns to Bristol hopefully next week which will free up space for Marches road, bits of which I’ve been painting today along with some 4mm inspection pits.

It’s the pits! But good pit kits from Intentio Model Railways. 5 made up and installed today on the western side of marches road.
We have the coal / disposal road, the ash road where the crane is ( needs a few dirty 16toners ) then the ready road, The ready road usually had a low mileage top link Castle, County or modified Hall on standby ready to cover for any failures, then shed road 4. I’ve run out of rail now so need to go shopping again!

 

A little ballast on the Haskins tunnel board today, first up mask up the flat bottom rail and spray the rails Railmatch dark rust and then airbrush the sleepers with MIG dark streaking grime, the bull head has been sprayed in Railmatch frame dirt, once this had dried it’s on with the ballast, once dry in a few weeks I’ll build up the sand to meet up with the rock sides and weather the bullhead track

 

Jon has done it again, signalling makes a layout and this is a special piece based on the sighting board that was at Dainton but modified to suit our position on St Stephen’s

 

Bolted the Haskins hill board with the embankment board today up on the trestles. It’s great to see it at a proper height. There’s not many layouts where the scenery is taller than a grown man. I can now continue with the ballast in a few weeks time.

 

Marches road starting to feel like a big busy shed. I’ve got some left over Intentio windows for the ancillary buildings,
Just awaiting some more Rail from C&L to finalise the track work.

 

An experimentation with Foam board this afternoon, I fancied having a go so I’m using Dainton tunnel mouth as my inspiration. Still a long way to go and I’ve got a sore thumb! But I’m enjoying it.

day one on Norton St Somers, my dad did the buildings green and cream but I’m going to do this station post 58 when In WR territory so it’s lots of cream with a little brown, the goods shed will stay green. Lots of trees on this one.

Dainton tunnel mouth painted up today as well, I’m really pleased with how this came out and I’ll be using this medium again.
