On the Girder Bridge on Another Bridge too far, I wanted a walkway, and decided to try and 3D print the brackets.

The brackets were made 21mm x 21mm (3ft in 7mm), and designed to have two glued back to back

Again the model was created in Autodesk 123D Design.

The outer edge is 1mm thick, while the inner details are 0.5mm thick
Created as one unit, then split into 4.
Saved as an .STL file, then imported into Makerware Makerbot.

Duplicated 3 times, and took approx 8 min to print.

Printed in PLA at 210C, 0.1mm layer height, heated bed on, head speed 30mm/sec

I also made a version without the circular strengthener
