Donation made with the name donated for being made under Wolseley being raised as a charity fundraiser.

If I had thought , I could have made it under your cousins name. I wasn't too sure that you wanted to give that out so it was made for £100.00 under yours. Job done.

They come up with a big thank you banner but dont appear to give any evidence or receipt for payment. I can possibly get something for that from my bank. My card statement should identify it just to keep things above board.

A great cause ...... well done

I have received a thank you email from the Ms society thanking me for a £10.00 donation. I must have mis typed but I am sure that I clearly made it £100.00.

I have just went back on and donated £100.00 and have received confirmation of this. So .... a brucie bonus for the Ms society as they have ended up with £ 110.00 for your efforts.
I shall speak with my technical advisor Paul_l to see how I can get a copy of their very nice responses to both donations up on the post.:avatar: I'm not the best at doing that but I will get it up for transparency.

    A very worthy cause.

    Cheers

    AN APOLOGY IS DUE.

it has been correctly brought to my attention that I closed the competition a week early. It was meant to close the last Saturday in may which is this Saturday coming.

I offer my sincere apologies for this genuine error. I was made aware that there was another party interested in posting up images towards a submission.

However, I will take this opportunity to point out that as stated in post 5 of this thread and as a continual requirement to all competitions unless stated otherwise, part of the criteria to be considered is the inclusion of progressive updates of your progress with your submission.

I would also recommend that if you have an interest in submitting for any competition, you register your interest on the competition thread and make me aware of it. I usually post up a reminder of closure dates to jog folks memories.

The purpose of some of these competitions ( for me ) is to create a bit of interest on the forum to let other members enjoy and hopefully comment against creating an opportunity for some conversation and participation etc, hence the " progress updates ".

I do need to consider the involvement each participant puts into this as I think it would be unfair to award someone coming in at the last minute with a single post before someone who has taken the time to regularly update and give us something to follow and post against. This also means that not 100% of the competition entry is based on quality and experience of building skills alone and trys to give a balance that gives everyone a chance of winning against a varied criteria which also includes commitment.

Again, I apologise for my genuine error but I think it's fair to say that if another submission had been made half way through this week with only days left to run ( given plenty of prior notice to submit ) it would have made no difference to the outcome of my judgement.

As I said, I do provide updates from time to time on closing dates but I am under no obligation to do so. I suggest people should frequent the competitions section more often, check for closing dates and bare all the required conditions in mind.

I apologise for the error and hope to see folks take advantage of the various other free to enter competitions that will be posted up over the coming weeks and months.

    Many thanks for your understanding.

    Toto
