After operating the goods yard, found it non productive, so I've added two right hand points too create a run around. Fairly happy with operations now.
By having a play, I mean operating session, you get to find out what works and what doesn't. Good to see you could make it work. Cheers, Gary.
My attempt at modeling Bittern station, on the Stony Point line. I made this station sometime ago, using Scalescenes papers. But decided to redo the roof. Using aluminum foil method. Thanks Gormo. here is link to the real stationhttps://images.app.goo.gl/btnnvm39M7McjucL8 View attachment 30839 View attachment 30840 View attachment 30839 View attachment 30840 .
As a low buget modeler, I decided to have a go at converting, a old Kelloggs wagon. Although not prototypical, I'm very happy with the result.
Here is a little history on your new model : http://www.hornbyguide.com/item_details.asp?itemid=91 Cheers, Gary.
Made a few alterations to the goods yard. Major change is the addition of Atlas turntable. Bought this about 6 years ago. Finally mustered up the courage to install it. Fairly simple to do. I Still have to wire in the stalls, and add switches to isolate them. I also Had to extend the corner of the layout to make it fit. This has improved operations in the goods yard. Other small changes are less obvious, but I have lengthened some of the sidings. .
Nice addition Phil. The siding with the little green loco and six wagons beside the turntable would be ideal spot for a coaling tower and ash pit or diesel refueling station. Cheers, Gary.
Moving as quick as mine...lol...but still movingnice progress. May you be blessed with time and spirit...or spirits...whatever gets us through
I'm retired Chris , so I get out to the train shed nearly everyday. Sometimes just to run trains, and sometimes, I get inspired and do some work on the layout. Definitely keeps my mind working. Cheers
