Careful Toto, let that work demon out of the bottle, and you never know what might happen. A little night time watching or the link https://youtu.be/HzWOQJTFOmU or the link https://youtu.be/Oj2fpQwG37s Should keep you busy, and maybe even raring to go, well you never know. Paul
There are some great tips around on techniques but I think the main thing you need in front of you when weathering anything is a picture of what you are trying to achieve.
Agree with you there Andy. Pictures of the wagon, coach, or loco to be weathered will aid you in a big way. In my 'weathering presflos' tutorial, you will see two pics of the 12": 1' models. Paul Bartlett Zenfolio is a great source of photographs, and they do cost for a download. http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/brwagons http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/paulbartlettsotherrailwayphotographs Paul has quite a few different locations for his expansive photograph collection. You can always google Paul Bartlett Zenfolio and a load of individual link headings will appear. Now, Toto should change the name of the thread to 'Toto's Pondering Bench...' Cheers, Gary.
See thats the problem of having more than 1 brain cell, with 1 it gets to wander around, and looks like its doing something, with two, ones always chasing the other, so you just keep going round in circles, three, it either joins the fun, or sits on the side laughing at the other two - sound familiar Paul
As you'll no doubt know, I visited Townstreet Models a few weeks back and whilst I was there, I bought a couple of Diesel Shed kits in OO scale. I'll apologise for the quality of the next picture as it was taken from a postcard image. As you can see there is a lot of detailing throughout but especially when it comes to the roof gantries and access ladders complete with bird cages. here is the etched brass fret that comes with the model. The above is approximately A4 in size and even has little clocks on it ( at the bottom ). The whole cast comes in about under a dozen main parts if you dont count the roof vents. Obviously still to be painted and weathered etc but comes to make a great building for a modern image Diesel Shed. I am considering starting one even though I dont have a layout to use it on at the moment as both Rosebuddy and Highbridge are earlier eras. It could be used for Breadalbane once that kicks off in ernest but that will be a while yet. If I can convince myself that I have somewhere to store it on completion until required, I may just make a start. I may do a test fit of the various casts tomorrow once I've attended the Falkirk swap meet for a further promotional visit. Now .......... has anybody got a spare bottle of motivation. cheers toto
Just dealing with brekkie then visit to mum then Falkirk swap meet then home and piccies galore. Cheers Toto
So, what are you swapping...?? Not your collection of A4s by any chance..?? Enjoy your brekkie, say hi to mum for me and enjoy the swap meet ! Cheers, Gary.
