    Trainiacs...?????
    Yes.....good question.....is it a real word.????......no not really....but is it appropriate..?????....Yes I think so????.....what do you think ..??????:scratchchin:

I was attending our local trivia competition last night, with my good lady wife, and we joined, as usual, our bunch of trivia friends that form our trivia team.
One of our team is quite interested in my train hobby and she quite often enquires about progress on GCJ. I think she finds things in miniature interesting and in some way it appeals to her nature.
Anyway, we mentioned that the two little Grandsons had been over on the weekend and that they are fascinated and excited by Pop`s trains.
As soon as they are in the door of the house they are pressing to go out into the shed where a couple of hours can be lost in immense fun, concentration and derailments.
Our friend, in assessing our report on these proceedings, referred to those with an interest in any type of trains as " Trainiacs "
I quite liked the idea so I think it will stick with me and I thought I would pass it on to my fellow "Trainiacs " for consideration...........:scratchchin:

:scratchchin::scratchchin::scratchchin::scratchchin:......Well quite possibly TimberSurf.........or should it be GORMIACS ?????....although that could be interpreted as somebody who is a fan of the Cairngorms in Scotland. I do rather like the Cairngorms. I tried to claim them as my own when I was in Scotland, but the Scots couldn`t really see my point of view..????....not to worry:scratchchin:.
So yes I suppose GORMOACS will suffice at this point in time ,even though it does sound like some sort of garden implement.:whatever::whatever::whatever::whatever:
An old mate of mine for many years has referred to me as GORMONZ which has been affectionately abbreviated to MONZ, however I think GORMONZ actually sounds like some sort of pastry, so once again we are back to GORMOACS in preference to GORMONZIACS.
    It`s a worry.....:scratchchin:

Hum, that leads me to Lumsdoniacs, followers of Lumsdonia, as apposed to Lumsdonians, those that live in Lumsdonia! (the little people) :giggle:

    Hello All,

TRAINIACS plural of trainiac , combination of train and maniac , and I think you will find it dates back to the 1920s ! I vaguely recall reading the comment in one of those Railway enthusiast compilation books years ago ,

    Regards, Echidna
