I have had one of these for some time now.

I ordered it from a well known site from a oriental dealer .... ahem.

They actually sent the wrong size which severely limits the size of component that you can fit in the bath. I contacted them by email but the chap in charge was " going on holiday for a month " ..... could I just return it please and they would send another out.

Well, in a word ..... or a couple of words £@$¥ off.

The postage would gave been ... ouch .... and the chances of it reaching them ..... slim.

" just you send the correct size and have the courier pick up the other " which is perfectly boxed etc. Ah ...... I am going on ho,jday for a month but I get back to you on my return.

Anyway .... I have kept it and I'm going to use it shortly to clean parts of my current 4F build.

What is the best cleaning fluids to use ..... and in what concentration?

I suspect I know who will have the answer to this ......... Dundee. :avatar:

I'll post a couple of photos up when I get it going.

    Cheers

    Toto

I use Tesco Lemon Multisurface Cleaner (the yellow / green stuff) - other brands are available and I used Lidl's version initially (Tesco's proved to be cheaper - now I don't think you expected that).
For cleaning etched loco's and general stuff, I use 3 parts water : 2 parts multisurface cleaner.
For 3D resin prints I use 2 parts water : 3 parts cleaner.
I only use the cleaning fluid for 3D prints on 3D models - too much contamination.

The prints that have been cleaned in the ultrasonic bath still have some resin on them, so the cleaning fluid is contaminated with uncured resin - not good for skin or the environment, so I have a seperate 5 litre bottle for resin prints and everything else.

That makes sense - keep resin cleaning seperate from everything else.

Yep, and the disposal of resin contaminated fluids is another issue - at least IPA will evaporate, water based wash fluids we'll need to wait for a very hot dry summer - think I'm going to need a bigger storage bottle - 10 years between hot summers could lead to a lot of rinse water
