Tonights work. Not the detailed cab floor and the flat spot on the bonnet. DUH!
Bit more work today and a note to myself when writing the instructions. Do the radiator slats before you fit it to the PUH. Will make life a lot more easier come out better. Happy with the 3d printed louvres though - they came out well and got the shape of the pressings right.
Interesting day at the G1 AGM show near Kenilworth in Warickshire....Lot's of traders and a big test track with loads of interesting stuff going round. Sold one of my brand new D25xx kits too!
That's good news Steve.
Great news Steve.
I'll look forward to seeing the first of the larger scale products over the line. What price point are these coming in at ?
This one £225.00 and I'm hoping the others won't eceed £350.00. The culture of G1 is very different to Gauge 0 in that there's not much two-rail it's all R/C and DCC R/C which adds a lot to the price.
This is it - the mould that'll define my future business. Curing tonight the top half of the 10.3 mtr Leyland National body mould. No further moulds will be cast until I know this one will work. By this time tomorrow night I should have the first example ready to be sprayed up and on display. Kits hopefull to follow Monday/Tuesday.
And 12 hours later the 2nd casting attempt is curing.
Bit of cleaning up required but not too bad - I think that's passed! Time to produce some kits - better pics tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing the cleaned up casting.
More moulds curing tonight for wheel arches, seats and sundry parts. Here's the first test casting of the Leyland national cleaned up. Bit more still to do and areas ringed show where alterations to the mould will need to take place but overall I'm delighted with it. This will be repaired tomorrow, cleaned up and sprayed with final colour hopefully Wednesday.
Windscreen - the most awkward and challanging bit sits in well and that's how it'll be supplied - preformed.
v impressive used to drive and repair those
I've driven nationals .... don't like the overhang on the back end. Came close a couple of times on tight turns in Lothian's depots.
Put two atlanteans off the road once. Not popular.
At last! crap weather stopping me from finish painting but here it is, the long awaited Leyland National!
New collect at show option added to the shopping cart. I'll be using this to take cards too as my bleedin' reader's packed up!
Test building the MK2f TSO and B4 bogie tonight. I'm intending to release these before Christmas but a lot depends on how much I need to adjust. Not much as it happens which is good.
