Thanks Gloria for the info and your partner driving the scene forward also, I guess with yourself posting updates here that Platform 1 reaching a global audience significantly helps to promote things too. It certainly has made me aware of the current situation with live steam in Cornwall and I'm just one person, anyway please pass on our appreciation to your partner that we are great admirers of the work which is currently happening. :tophat::tophat:

    Good afternoon everyone,
I have a further update for you all. As from previous message regarding my K1 scratch built locomotive she has had her first ever live run today. Runs sweet but needs a bit of a tweak for pulling power. A video is being posted on You Tube under Cornwall Narrow Gauge Garden Railway Group. I was asked by some members to keep them informed of progress with the K1.
To all members of the forum I wish you all a Happy New Year.
    Kindest regards,
    Gloria..

    Good afternoon one and all,
It is with deep regret that i have deleted the thread regarding Helston Preservation Railway owing to them being unsure about having us there. All our 16mm members of the Cornish Narrow Gauge Garden Railway have agreed with the decision to pull out, which we have done, and as previously stated Moseley Vintage Toy and Train Museum near Redruth has welcomed us with open arms, building work commences fingers crossed towards the end of March 2020 hopefully start something running for the summer months weather permitting.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

From what I can glean about Moseley Toy and Train Museum on the net it does sound like a wonderfully eclectic place which is better suited to accommodating a narrow gauge garden project such as yours Gloria, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise and as the old saying goes it is a case of "their loss your gain". Maybe Helston seek to appeal to a different audience, anyway I wish you all the best success for the future in the relocation to Redruth.:tophat:

    Good afternoon York Paul,
Thank you ever so much for your reply. When I worked on the G.W.R Helston Branch and the St Ives Branch lines I used to fire on, we had 2-6-2s 45 class steam loco's as nothing larger the branch lines couldn't manage, when wanted to join Helston Preservation Group as a volunteer I told them my history they didn't believe me.So they have lost another asset but that's up to them as I now also have my private little railway 7.25 gauge. That will also be at Moseley at some point
Yes as you say it is their loss, and we have gained a lovely site with wonderful owners who have welcomed us with open arms. The museum is something else it houses mechano from all the early days, N Gauge 00 Gauge, 0 Gauge, Hornby Tin Plate and of course their own 2ft Gauge. Plus they will eventually have 7.25 Gauge with 5inch Gauge which the track can run both scales. Just waiting on the better weather now.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

What a fantastic loco Gloria, I love it!!
At last you know what Helston think of you! As you say it is their loss. Moseley sound a much more progressive and accommodating organisation, their gain!!!

    Cheer's, Pete.

Thank you for your support. Yes she is a lovely loco runs sweet she will be on show at Peterborough as well. Have had admirers from Yorkshire and Derby also asking if she will be shown. We are hoping to take her to Butterly and give her an outing on their track. Will keep you informed Pete as things go along.

Great if you get to Butterley ... I'm a member of HMRS who keep historical records and plans in the study centre library... let us know when you get to Butterley and I'll see about doing a pop down to say hello.
