Pleased to be able to help guys. As an aside to this, I'd recommend you have a separate lighting bus for any fixed lamps, building lights etc on the layout, don't use the track supply, as you might need it's capacity for all the rolling stock lighting. When you've done a few and tried running in darkness, it can get quite addictive to see lit trains running around, and next thing you know, like me, you'll be building lots of little circuit boards and fitting out all your stock with lights! My street/yard/building lighting is powered by two separate transformer/rectifier setups, feeding two separate bus's, around 50 LED's on each, and I have further spare capacity available to add more. I am in the process of replacing many of my original 'Superquick' card buildings with Bachmann and Hornby resin buildings in a quest for more 3 dimensional detail, adding a good few lighted effects to these along the way,- got to thank the "other" forums Allan Downes (the Master modelmaker) for that, as He made me realise I needed much more detail than I've managed so far. I still won't be able to hold a candle to his efforts though if I live to be a hundred!!! Keith.
Hi Guys The circuit will also work perfectly for DC operation as well, although the lights will fade out when the loco stops. Paul
