Hi there and a warm welcome to you Andrew from East Yorkshire, glad you joined us so please feel free to comment up on threads as you wish... oh and please could you post some more close up detail pics of that lovely 27 stuff like bogie detail, pipework and the Stones odometer and mile counter would be particularly useful reference material in the test build. Kind regards Yorkie
HI all . Originally started out as P4 modeller in the early 70's migrated to O gauge around 1977 . A confirmed Diesel man but main interest is BR Western region 1969 - 1970's and. clay lines . Cut my teeth on the early Dave Parkin kits . Several unfinished kits lying around , I have finished some but then stripped back down to improve and still on the workbench . Built several for friends Class 56, 25 ,58 Jltrt Class 44 . I tend to flit between projects ( a really bad habit as nothing ever gets finished of my own ) Current locos in various stages of build Tower Warship ,Rail Express Warship ( purchased a brass body etch from PRMMP to use )JLTRT Western,. SBT second gen ie brass Class 15 and 22 . Currently building a Class 27 for the club layout ex RJH that someone had started and donated (will post some pictures later ) . Now retired so should get some things finished (just doesn't seem to work out like that ).Still boxed up Parkin Class 37 and 50 . Just to cap it off I purchased for the princely sum of £12 a Classic coach kit (remember them) for no less than Cyril Frezeer RM editor himself at a Manchester show back in the 70's that really needs building .I hang my head in shame .
brilliant stuff Andrew and thanks for your supportive comments and advice, I really do appreciate that and what an interesting Bio as well so thanks for bringing us all up to speed there . I think if you like diesels you will love some of the stuff which goes on in this place and I certainly know about unfinished projects but its all good fun. Hopefully I'll have an O Gauge prototype display brass 26 to show in the next few weeks... fingers crossed as they say.
