    G'day Grumbeast,

Welcome aboard from Sydney. I'm keen to see your N scale Canadian layout ! Do you run a particular era or does Rule No.1 apply ??

    Cheers, Gary.

i’m trying to keep it roughly 70s / early 80s in Nova Scotia, though I will use a bit of rule 1 as I just love too many trains (hence the separate uk layout, i just can’t make myself run a Western through Canada). Im taking liberties about the motive power, as I’m stealing the vague geography and placenames of the South Shore of NS and it was mainly RSC-14s which aren’t available in N. So im changing history, upgrading the Halifax -> Yarmouth line and the Bridgewater -> Annapolis line so i can use RS-11s, C630s and C424s

i should probably do a build thread or two with pics :)

There is something I like about locomotives with curved roofs. ;)

I have a few HO scale early Alcos (S4, RS3, RSC3, H15-44, Fa2), EMDs (NW2, GP7,GP10, GP40) and a GE 44 tonner on my layout. I'll eventually repaint all of my locos in the same livery as the H15...

    Cheers, Gary.
