G`day Michael and welcome to Platform 1 MRC, I hope you have a pleasant journey with us. Gormo.....Sydney....Oz
to the forum Michael from Yorkshire... glad you joined us and hope you enjoy your stay with us. cheers York Paul
Thank you for your welcomes, much appreciated. I am 88 years of age and suffering from Parkinson's Disease. I have been a modeller in EM gauge for nearly 40 years and specialise in the London Brighton and South Coast railway. I model in EM gauge and stick to models of locomotives and rolling stock which existed prior to 1900. My layout is an end-to-end and is an exact replica of the 1866 LBSCR station at Midhurst in West Sussex which was closed in 1881. If anybody is interested I can post some pictures later on when I have figured out how to do it. Michael
Hi Michael I'd love to see photographs of your models and layout. Any problem in posting let me know, always glad to help. I now model primarily in 7mm, but have modelled in OO and tried P4, EM being that halfway house I never got around to trying. Paul
Michael. I'm sure that like me, you'll find this a friendly, helpful and interesting place to be. Looking forward to seeing some of your pics.
Hi Michael That is an impressive loco build, I've looked at building early loco's before in 7mm and thought they we're tight for space, so would be even greater challenge in 4mm. Nice one Paul
What a beautiful model Michael, if it is an example of your work then please post more photos!!! Pete.
Hello Paul No-one else has made any comment so assume that there is not a lot of interest in what I have done. Any, a couple more photos for you Michael
Very nice models Michael, That`s something you don`t see in ready to run in any scale........ Don`t worry about delayed replies or reactions on the forum, as some members are half a world away and also not every member is logged in every day, so it may take a few days after you throw your line in before you get a bite. Gormo
G'day Michael, Welcome aboard. That is some extraordinary modelling you do, beautiful to say the least ! I'll definitely be looking forward to your future posts ! Enjoy your stay. Cheers, Gary.
Thank you all for your very kind comments about my models and modelling. So another few photos for your perusal Regards Michael
