Pendeen Pete and a warm to the forum from a sunny Dundee Great to have you onboard and look forward to hearing about yourself and your modelling adventures so far. Once again welcome to the forum Paul
Thanks for your welcome, I have been trying to model railways for far too many years, started with a Triang Brittania Pullman set in the late 50's at a tender age, had G scale ,OO, HO even a dabble with N. Just in the process of selling my garden railway, another mistake in siting it in our North facing rear garden, so back indoors with a small OO layout. Gave up trying to be prototypical after GWR then Southern layouts, now run everything, as I like so many types of locomotives. Recently ventured into old Ringfied Lima and Hornby, can't justify modern prices, and I do like the challenge of fitting DCC without destroying decoders too often! Anyway, here to learn and have a chat. All the best Pete
Great to hear from you Pete, like you I find some of the new prices a bit off putting, especially as I moved over to O gauge, so have started 3D printing my own stock, this old dog is having to learn some new tricks, otherwise 'er indoors will have more than a few words to say on the subject Looking forward to seeing the results of your endeavours Paul
Welcome aboard Pete. Sounds like you've been round the block a few times. Feel free to post up any photos that you may have. I'm sure there would be a lot of interest. Cheers for now Toto
Thanks gents, very nice of you. How do I start a new thread if something comes into my head, can't see how. Nothings in my head at the moment by he way

G`day Pendeen Pete and welcome to Platform 1 MRC I hope you enjoy your journey with us Gormo......Sydney.....Australia
Yes the one and only Sydney, I lived in Bexley, Kogarah, Carlton and finally Como West! My Aussie mates were the best I ever had, even though I was Pete the Pom
I lived in Bexley, Allawah, Hurstville, Arncliffe and a few more.... Although my high school years were at Peakhurst, but when we moved to Arncliffe, my folks wanted me to go to Kogarah boys... Cheers, Gary.
Kogarah was mixed when I was there (1967), tried looking at Bexley park on street view, can't recognise much at all, there were cricket nets and a football pitch, St Andrews Bexley was my team.
