Many thanks gents, looking forward to having a look around and see what I can find. Now retired and returned to model railways after an absence of around fourty years! Not surprisingly everything has changed so it is a steep learning curve.
Hi Richard, I think you've found the right place to pick up the reigns again. I'll look forward to seeing what you have planned. Once again. ... to the forum. Cheers Toto
Welcome on board Richard. Great to have you with us. How will you find time to model now you're retired mate . Looking forward to seeing what you're up to . Cheer's, Pete.
Richard and a warm to the forum. No exactly how you feel, I was in the same position a few years ago on my return to the hobby. You'll be surprised how many old school techniques are easily transported thirty or forty years on, similar but not quite the same. Any thing you are not sure of just ask - you never know we may even have the right answer Once again welcome to the forum Paul
Hi there Richard and a warm welcome to Platform 1 from East Yorkshire, glad to have you no board so please feel to comment on threads when you wish. I appreciate a return to our hobby after such a long absence is a bit of a shock as models and technology has moved forward eons and its almost a case of learning the hobby all over again. Not to worry as we have experienced Forum Mentors on hand who are here to help whenever needed, you will find them in a pane on the right hand column of the Forum Page so its just a case of asking as many questions as you want. Cheers for now, York Paul
G'day Richard, Welcome aboard from Sydney. Get yourself settled in, have a good look around, read up and then get posting. Looking forward to reading about your modelling, or what you currently have on the workbench. If you have any questions, ask away as answers will be forthcoming. Enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
Welcome to the forum Richard. I was in the same situation as yourself about 6 years ago, but there's so much knowledge out there now (and hopefully on here too!) that you should find all the answers to questions you may have on here. Enjoy! Keith.
