Gee I'm just glad Sydney put a nice day on for you considering all the rain we have just had !

You would have to agree that Sydney Harbour is the best harbour in the world !! Glad you had a great time.

    Cheers, Gary.

Thanks Gary, I agree, there is not much that compares with the Harbour that's for sure.
There's not much to report on the railway front I am afraid. I started a new round of Chemo treatment in mid -March as previous forms of treatment hadn'tbeen performing to expectations. Had the second dose on April Fools Day, some joke, within 3 days my body had emptied itself of anything consumed, Temp. was heading rapidly towards 39c and blood pressure was ranging between 190/100ish and 70/38. After 2 days in ICU they determined I had a Fungal infection of my blood, I was becoming a Mushroom!
Anyway after 14 days including celebrating my 65th birhday in hospital I am now back home with instructions to eat as much of whatever I fancy preferably High in Protein but loads of KFC even got a mention. The downside is that the physio people will visit daily to try and convert whatever my intake has been into lost muscle and something called energy. I will let you know how we get on
Once I started to feel more human than Fungus I decided to get set up in the lounge room in order to at least progress some of the buildings already part done. Started with the contents of an envelope that had arrived while I was hospitalized.

Nice new cutting mat to go on the nice new table my daughter organized ( also can be used for dining, computer work etc etc )

Anyway putting together some fruit crates that will be housed in Fyffes warehouse, Haven't worked with Laser cut stuff before, but they are certainly easy to work with and produce a nice array of crates, sourced from Scale Model Scenery (usual disclaimer) Just work out a bit expensive when freight get added on, Oh well
Does anyone know of a maker of bunches of bananas ?
The next part will be to get the roof onto Fyffes then work back towards Wallgate, roofing as I go.
    Cheers for now

Best of luck with the recovery Kevan.
Not a good way to end a holiday and celebrate a birthday.
Good to here your home recovering, relaxing and back into the modelling.

My wife has just finished all her weakly Chemo now on to Radio and we had a few trips to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning so know what you have had to endure, keep positive and power on.

    Those crates look the biz.

AS to the question about bananas, when I built Linden Ford, I needed fruit and veg for my providores shed. I ended up raiding the herb abd spice rack at home and I came up with quite a few choices for fruits and vegies.

I replicated corn using cummin seeds. I think you could get away with these as bananas too... You just need to swirl a small amount of seeds in yellow paint, let dry then place into your crates.

Here are my various collection of seeds that have been converted to fruit and veg, corn (bananas ?) are circled.

    Cheers, Gary.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, restarted the Chemo yesterday on a reduced plan so we will see how that goes. First of the side effects showed up again today, so far ( late afternoon here) I have had three NO make that four bouts of hiccups, this usually goes on for a couple of days, so fingers crossed.

SMRCHRIS. I had a lot of trouble with mouth ulcers originally until my local chemist found a brew he could make up called Amethocaine Mouthwash. It contains 2% Lignocaine which is what Dentists used to or still do to deaden your mouth. Being nice and thin I put some of it in a small spray bottle that I could easily take with me everywhere and just target the sore parts instead of deadening the whole mouth / throat area. Not sure what she's fighting but if she gets ulcers then this stuff works a treat.

Gary, I shall have to go looking in the spice rack myself now, viewing distance would be around 3' so should easily pass as bananas.

    Cheers all
    Kevan
