Thanks Steve for posting the pictures http://www.click
Nothing wrong with your eye sight Chris.
Well day two was much better running. Cleaned all the locos last night, cleaned the track first thing, then every couple of hours did a spot clean on the locos....all good. Better still that pilot bloke was not here with his head, shoulders and iPad in the layout:facepalm: How's your new NCE system ?:scratchchin:

Congratulations on picture of the week.

Really fantastic image. In fact a whole set of fantastic images. I'm sure they will adorn the top slot over the next while. Really top stuff.

Straight to the top of the class with that great photo Steve, congrats On POTW

Good news that the layout performed well for a second day Kim best of luck for the final day.

LSD is a worthy POTW winner.:tophat:

Jack is the one who's getting a new NCE system.
I've already got a NCE wireless Procab so don't need its little brother, I use 2 DCC systems a NCE and a CVP system each has its good points.

Thanks Chris, it was one of about twenty photos I took first thing on Saturday morning before the show opened. It's such a beautiful layout, very easy to photograph the 0 gauge compared to the 00.

That's always a possibility. Or maybe we should build an exact copy of Lord Street over here and then I just have to fly Kim and his Rolling stock over.

Well done Kim it was a great show and I'm so pleased for you having personally seen the huge effort you have put in since last July. A well deserved result. It was a privilege to serve as they say.

Set up 6 hours pack up in one and a quarter....must be a new record there as well:thumbup:

Hope you got the trailer unloaded ok without damage.

Thanks Guys for all the kind comments.
Special thanks to the team members who put a lot of time and effort assisting me in getting LSD ready, packed up, unloaded and set up and then spend three days playing trains and talking to the public.:worship:
Chris Walker (kentishlad59), Ralph (Ralph) assisted by John "snowy" Harrison and "ace" RC truck driver Roger Powell. Plus Ethan, my son for his "25 point turn" RC driving skills and packing the whole lot up on the last day. I could not have done it with out your help and support.http://www.click
So get the pop corn out....here's a "couple" of photo's :whatever:

LSD, put to bed and ready for the first day of the show.

    First morning set up.[IMG]

We altered the lighting frequently to give a varied selection of scenes, Dimming the two strips of white and warm white plus adding blue and green seemed to be the popular colour choices but I also used red, yellow and at the end of day three disco flashing lights !!![IMG]
Toto will note the Fowler here being used as a brake van to hold the Lowmac tight against the loading ramp so that the RC truck could be driven "safely" onto it. The lowmac now has tire wear marks on the deck at one end with the amount of use it had (just like the real thing). The loading attempts got better as the day went on but we did have a few laughs when it all went wrong.[IMG]

Amazing what you miss that the camera will show up....note to self...make sure the figures are upright  [IMG]

The telephone box (a brass kit with white metal fittings) and push bike (peco) where expertly built and painted by Chris. I will take a close up of the phone box when Chris has done a minor repair to it, of the detailing inside including a light. Note also the superb paint job on a basic plastic bike. Thanks again Chris, this is another favourite scene
    [IMG]

Chris's work again on the fire buckets
    [IMG]

Fowler replaced with the Manning Wardle as the RC truck managed to move the Fowler leaving a gap between loading ramp and lowmac, result...RC truck got stuck!

The Beattie in full flow shunting some meat wagons...not the best performer on the day.[IMG]

    yep correct...Chris's work again

Ralph's added detailing to the signal box area
    [IMG]

Chris, left showing that men can multi task. Roger driving the RC truck instead of his normal activities on a sunday morning, steering RC boats. Ralph at the far end
    [IMG]

Ralph, yours truly, John and Chris. [IMG]

and finally, yes it was me that drove the Morris off the layout onto the floor in front of a packed audience.
