Most of the basic's ready to use, very thing was from my old layout. Very easy build, just a matter of getting the right bits in the right spot to make it all work. The base is cut to size to fit into a specific spot in the Museum on the layout, and she will become a permanent fixture there. Best regards: Alan...... Used: Lima HO passenger car as the Restaurant, Evergreen styrene sheeting, Woodland Scenics ground cover, Trackside, Thunder Box's and Park bench's. Various sign's I have found and collected over the years.
Nice build Alan. This reminds me of the diners that existed in the US during the 60's and 70's ! Cheers, Gary. PS, That coach looks like a Powerline FS 2nd Class 60' Coach...
Tar Gary, Yes she does look like a Dinner of Old. I think old coach's are well suited for this sort of thing. Anyway something I have always wanted on a layout, and finally got one. Just a matter of finding the right bits and pieces to make it all work and to blend in with the rest of the surrounding layout. Hence she is situated at the Museum. Yes she is an old Powerline coach, was in Candy Colours (Yuk LOL) but a coat of Tamiya Hull Red fixed that and a few roof exhausts and easy done. I got it as a freeby cause it was missing one of the trucks and i needed a set to replace a broken one on another coach, so she has been sitting in the spares box for ages.
That's funny, only because when I bought an FS, it was candy too.., and yes, I did repaint it !! Cheers, Gary.
