Recently on the Anycubic site checking Resin prices, I came across the Anycubic AirPure device. Basically a rechargeable fan with a carbon filter, suitable to fit inside the print area. $23 is the asking price for two of the units (or £19 in real money) inc p&p. What the hell I went for it, a few days later ...... Included in the box 2 x AirPure units 2 x Charcoal filters 1 x usb charging cable - the socket on the front is a usb C connector. The units are place at the rear of the printer bed Switch the Airpure on, fit the lid and start the print. I've only tried with the Eco Resin, and must admit the room was oudour free untill I removed the printer cover. Good news it that it also fits in the original Photons as well The charcoal filters are a consumable, but so far I've not found them listed on Anycubics site. Impressed so far Paul
I looked at those as well Paul, but decided not to buy them because of the missing refills. It struck me as seriously stupid to sell something and include in the blurb "the filter needs changing etc", but not sell the refills. Mossy
I did find this video The guy sells cut down filters to save you having to - The Elegoo Mini Air Filter looks very similar as the Anycubic AirPure Etsy link for pre-cut filters £6 for two Amazon Link for larger block 99 x 99 x 99 mm £12.93 with careful cutting I should be able to get eight 44 x 44 x 18 mm filter blocks out of the larger block. I read someone say you just stuck them in the Oven and that cleaned the filter? but then, don’t believe everything on Facebook
Don't know if i'd want to burn off the absorbed uncured resin in the oven my dinner was going to be cooked in. After only one use I can tell the difference between the the used and unused filter - I can smell the odour of the resin on the used one. Paul
