A huge official Welcome on board to our latest top tier forum sponsor in the shape of Connoisseur Models. As you will no doubt have noticed, we have ( Paul ) recently updated our sponsor panel at the usual top and side slots. Our latest addition " Connoisseur Models " owned by Jim Mcgeown now adorns the page and a link directly through to his own website can be utilised simply by clicking on the image. The changing images that are currently displayed may change as this initial artwork is a indicative trial run for the moment pending Jim's approval. However, the above is a small technical aside. Please feel free to make use of the link as any O gauge kit builders or potential converts will find themselves well catered for. Should you succumb to a purchase or three, please let Jim know where you saw his site. Jim actively encourages all feedback ( constructive ) and looks for ways to continually improve his site and products. details of the competitions that he will sponsor will be announced throughout the forum and via the newsletter and Facebook pages. once again welcome aboard Jim. Cheers Toto
I would like to say that Jim is a welcomed sponsor to P1MRC and I trust our commitment to each other will yield results for both Connoisseur Models and the forum moving forward into the future. Not to take the limelight away from Connoisseur Models, but I would also like to add that Paul has done a fantastic job of the revolving sponsor boards. Excellent results Paul. Cheers, Gary.
I would also like to welcome and add my thanks to Jim at Connoisseur Models to agreeing to become a competition sponsor here at platform1mrc. As for the rotating images, the credit for them has to go to Tanny, all I did was botch up the images, he put the backend stuff in place to make them rotate. Paul
And a sincere welcome from myself Jim, though not an oh gauger myself I live in awe at the skill and detail involved in such kits. Ian vt
Just as an update for our sponsor, There have been some new additions .... both wagons and coco's to Jim's site. I'm saying no more ......... go look. ...... definite eye candy. Toto
Well that's a good surprise, nice one Jim ... a Battery Electric Shunter. BEL 1.. now this has to be a purchase Take note Mr Sollis as you will need to hone your scratch building skills to modify this one into the Oakamoor works shunter BEL 2... no excuses now since you already have three O Gauge wagons
Nice try.. wrong era for me! Actually not that different. Variation on lights and windows from memory.
Indeed and probably the buffers too, as the last time I saw BEL 2 it was fitted with GWR type heavy duty self contained buffers.
