Many many years ago, I used to get the Toddeler, and was always impressed with Ian Beattie's drawings.

While in a not so local model shop I found a copy of "Drawn & Described" A collection of locomotive drawings and monographs by Ian Beattie.

And contains 54 locomotive drawings selected from the Big Four (with some pre-grouped examples), BR and Diesel / Electric and even a Leek & Manifold loco.
All drawings are printed at 4mm/ft and as with all of Mr Beatties drawings are excellent.

The other book I picked up was Highland Railway Carriages and Wagons by Peter Tatlow, another great collection of Drawings, photographs and illustrations.

Why these two books, well with my intention to learn how to use Autodesk's Fusion 360 3D modelling program, these books will help provide inspiration and prototypes to base the models on.

Already eyeing up a Jones Goods from Ian Beatties book, and several of the wagons from Peter Tatlows book.
