Just spent a useful morning on Chesterfield Midland station again today, two steam drawn 'specials' in one day isn't that common, but it was worthwhile! First this morning was GWR "Earl of Mount Edgecumbe", and today we were lucky as it stopped for a few minutes at the platform. Here are a few pics.

Second steam special of the day was later, about 12.25, and this time we were not so lucky, as he had a clear road and went rocketing through about 70mph, so I only got the one shot, 46100, "Royal Scot", going like the clappers, whistle blowing, (still makes what's left of the hair on the back of my head stand on end)......that's what these loco's were built for!
