I ordered my Lenz chip for my Dapol Terrier,
here is the chip going in.

the four screws to the extreme outside of the undercarriage are removed to give this ...... a view of the inside with the factory fitted DC decoder chip.

you have to take care as there are two wires connected between the loco electronics and the shell which are for fire box flicker. Anyway, the DC decoder comes off in the usual way by gently levering upwards and the DCC chip goes on by pushing down into position after checking to see the pins are in alignment with their corresponding holes ..... to give you this,

observe the way the DC decoder is fitted as the PCB board under the " holes " goes face down with the black moulding facing upwards. fit the DCC decoder the same way.
here is another of the finished article,

And the jacket goes back on.

Job done. It will get programmed at the weekend.
Next up will be the fitting of a Zen Buddha to an O gauge Heljan class 25. possibly over the weekend.
    cheers
