Connoiseur LNER Class J37 (ex NBR B & S classes) I purchased this loco 12 months ago (well in theory SWMBO bought it for me as a wedding anniversary pressie, must have been a good boy last year as this year I didn't even get a card - some excuse about been stuck indoors isolating. Now that time is drawing near, where the brass gets exposed to day light, there may even be a chance of solder getting near it in the near future - well maybe The box has been opened Seemingly under all this tissue is a set of bits The boiler is tucked into the side well surrounded with tissue I bought the motor as well, but do need to place an order with Slaters for some wheels. These were part of the Majestic Models range, which Connoiseur sell as the Claymore Range Jim's usual high quality white metal castings - the brass roof is also pre-rolled Lots of various wires Chassis are in Nickel Silver Then lots of brass Tender Tender Guard Rails and smoke box wrapper Loco body The proposed victim is possibly Paul
That last shot, oohhh weathered to perfection. The flaring out on the tender looks like it could be “fun” to do. Pop corn ordered for home delivery for this one
With a good clean, I'm sure I can find the real loco in there, there'll be NBR loco and shed crews spinning in their graves seeing thier pride n joy in that condition. Better check the sell by date on the popcorn, as I believe I have a 4F to build first, unless of course Yorkie did a Toto and ordered up a J37 instead of a 4F I think the flaring is the reason the 4F will be build first Paul
I recon Jim will be retiring early with all these kits you guys are buying, might be worth pacing yourselves
Oh dear yes... but I have a sneaky feeling Toto will say "who says we've stopped buying" Jim says Connoisseur doesn't do Q1's but if they did then they'd probably be the best Q1's out there.
