His worshipfulness the holy goat has bestowed upon you the parchment of splendor! ... I'm in awe! You are now the official 'head shed' Ian vt
That is fantastic. I'm actually glad that Gormo is in the UK at the moment cause my home wouldn't pass at the moment with all the necessary going-ons getting ready for the exhibition. Looks like a model railway tornado has hit at least 3 rooms.... Cheers, Gary.
Yep...! You probably already know that I have taken this week on leave to get everything completed for the upcoming weekend. I really should have put in extra days after the exhibition just so I can clean up and rest ! Cheers, Gary.
On the other Gary, if you pile it all up in the corner, you'll know where it is for next year For the test track between fiddle yards, I'll make a 2ft board, that way I can fit in to the man cave with the 2 fiddle yards. Paul
Well, Nothing happened on Luib Bridge for the last week. I'll make the effort to get back into it this weekend as matter that, I'm stuffed for the next couple of weeks. Wednesday see's me flying over to limerick in Ireland and I don't get back over here until the Friday. Then it's Cyprus on Saturday for a couple of weeks. Things need to purge on a bit as I need reliable running over the four baseboards and traversers by November for the Elgin show. So, back to wiring on board one and fitting of Cobalts to boards one and four. I need to find a test site to get them all together for a test run. Probably tomorrow for the wiring so I'll keep you all updated on progress. Cheers Toto
Don't get stressed Toto, it is a hobby not a race. Get the wiring on board one sorted then go on your hols and chill out, when you get back you will be raring to go. Pete.
Forget that advice, and just get you're finger out You're supposed to set an example and lead from the front - it's us mere lackies (me) job to dilly dally Paul
Nup, not good enough ! No holiday for you..., get back to work ! You should realise that you can't have your cake and eat it too... Seriously, I would take Pete's advice, as for Paul, well... Cheers, Gary.
Jeez Toto !!!!!! You change newest bestest friends more often than I change my undies http://www.click Gormo in Fort William
Twice a year ain't excessive. well you would go tracking around the globe leaving me to deal with this lot. How's things going. How many pairs of shoes have you guys worn out. I think you are still getting a reasonable deal with the weather which is great. Hope your visit has been all you had expected so far. Tell Julie we are asking for her. Cheers Toto
G'day Toto, We're going well and pushing ourselves to our physical limits some days. We had a go at the old man of storr on skye. Didn't make it all the way but did pretty well for a pair of old codgers with blocked arteries..... We're ticking off the places on the list one by one and loving every minute. Julie is onto her second camera card.....lucky I had an 8 gig backup.... Better charge some batteries and hit the sack http://www.clickGormo
Great stuff. You guys know your limits so just take it easy. Hope you have been sampling some of the different regional whiskies ................. With American Coke for Julie. I'll look forward to seeing some of your photos on your return. Meanwhile, carry on and enjoy mate. Keep in touch when you get the opportunity. Cheers Toto
Well I ended up doing a bit wiring to baseboard 1. All the necessary holes have been bored to take the track and accessory BUS's and the track BUS installed. I have paired back the insulation on the track BUS ready to solder the droppers on. So, a little bit done. I'll take care of the soldering tomorrow. I'm using my crimp connections between the boards. They seem to be a good tight fit. I have a cobalt ready for fitting to the only point on baseboard one as well. Once I've done that I'll run the accessory BUS and attach the crimps to that as well. Top job.
Don't forget the photo's Tom, will you get to run a loco before you're away?? Any thoughts on a Warley meet later on in the year? Cheers Ron
