now for the start of the paint job

I thought I'd try pre-shading, a tecnique use by military modellers

The underframe and metal work were sprayed with a 50:50 mix of Tamiya Black and X20 thinner

Next up first coat of Railmatch BR Late Bauxite thinned with X20 thinner, after the first bit of spraying it needed thinning a bit more - now probably 25% paint to 75% X20.

Second photo probably shows the pre-shading off the best - the flash kinda killed the effect

Just to show the difference a flash makes

    With flash

    Without flash

Now I need to order up some transfers, then think about if its getting a second set of coats
