Those who have been watching Mossy's various NER Wagon Builds will possibly recall these: (with appologies for the slightly out of focus photos). I too have a few kits from Medley Models/NER Days that contain similar buffers. A pack of them has been sat on my desk for sometime looking at me saying "do something to make me usable..." So today I took a couple of hours and turned them down. It was a really useful exercise in repeatability and working to the graduations on the lead screws. The slight differences in sizes over 20 or so buffer heads that I worked on kept me on my toes.
Hi Rob, Are these the pack of daft buffers I sent with the two B1 open kits or did he send you a set as well? Steve reckoned you could file them down in a mini drill . I think that's just wishful thinking. Mossy
