    Today has been all about painting, these Grit bins, relay cabinets and litter bins are so detailed. Purchased from Rusty rails online.

    To me, it's the white and black paintwork (which shouts out west coast of Scotland) the finish on the walls (harling perhaps?) the dormer windows intersecting the roofline and gutters, and the pitch of the roof, although the last is hardly conclusive by itself.

    For comparison, here's a photo of a slightly different hotel (without the black paintwork around the windows) I took in Portree in 1975. Probably more interesting today due to the vehicles in front of the buildings than the buildings themselves.....

    Not a lot to show recently, been customising some new trucks (Panel lining and dirtying) for the layout. These would have been common sights in the 60's and into the mid-seventies.
