I usually browse these forums on a fairly high-powered laptop or desktop computer, but just occasionally use an Acer tablet with Android operating system. Every time Itry to open Paltform 1 MRC on the Android browser it loads partially then crashes the browser.

I am on several other forums as well, but this one is the only one that consistently causes the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Can anyone suggest a fix for this?

I should add that I have tried using other browsers on the tablet but I'm not happy with the way they take over the tablet and hog the resources - I have not tried Platform 1 on these other browsers and don't intend to.

It would be nice if there is a simple solution to this, but it is not a huge inconvenience to me; it just means that catching up here tends to wait for the next day when I use the normal computers again.

    Hi SRman,

I'll see if I can get anywhere with our IT admin guru. It's not something that I can really advise on myself but bear with us please. I'd imagine there will be a fix.

    Apologies

    Toto

No worries, Tom. As I said, I'm not too concerned about this but if it is happening to anyone else there may be something to be done with the site; if it is only my computer/tablet, it may be a setting or a particular program or application clashing.

    Hi Jeff

I have the same issues with my Raspberry Pi mk1, but the Pi 3 flies, so it must be down to sheer horsepower, and the amount of graphics on our site.

    G`day SRMan,

I have an Android phone and no issues with using the forum.

It may well be a browser issue. I have Windows 10 on my laptop and the new Edge browser is not entirely happy running the post reply section here, so for this reply and all my other posts, I use firefox.

    Hi Jeff
Using the bosses kindle with silk browser and all seem OK, maybe worth trying a different browser.
