So, you would like sound in your locomotives, but you don't want to go down the DCC route ?

Well, you can do it now if you have a mobile phone thanks to SoundTraxx !
You can even change the CV settings and play around with the features too, all from your phone !

Check out these video from SoundTraxx explaining their new BluNami decoders

and one from Blue Rail Trains

    Cheers, Gary.

I can see this having a bigger impact outdoors in larger scales and using a battery as would save on that hated track cleaning session..

a friend of mine has a similar set up, runs on batteries in O gauge but all his sound comes out his phone… so no Doppler effect as it passes… (just not the same)
    This could be a changer!!

The last video shows how well it works with dead rail, so yes, outdoor battery layouts would be great !

    Cheers, Gary.

This is a well presented version of the WifiTrax wifi decoder made here in Australia.
    Wonder if they sold out?
I still have my updated control module for Wifi DC track running to install. It handles 4 blocks and auto reverse actions with expansion to run DCC as well.

The Bluenamis seem to.be packaged and marketed quite well...keen to see how they go. Like Andy said...perfect for the larger scale and dead rail.

    Kind regards
    Chris

I’m guessing then that the only limitation is your battery life.

I think leadie69 could answer that as he is working with dead rail now.

    Cheers, Gary.
