Only that I would probably try it from the inside first - less cleaning up. All the openings are quite small so it should work fine.

I don't mind painting, but hate the transfers. Could be worse tho', at least these don't need lining. :headbanger:

The models are looking very nice.

I'm using Lidl's W5 Floor Coat, bought several years ago. I found it sprays very easily neat out of the bottle. Actually thats not quite correct, because the bottle is really old (+10 maye upto 20 years old), I strain it first to remove any dried crud, but then sprays straight out of the bottle. 0.3 needle @ approx 20psi (1bar).

I use Johnsons Klear of a similar vintage. followed up by a matt coat after transfers using Ronseal water based matt varnish with additional Vallejo Matt medium added.

On these I did only a light sealing coat of matt because one useful thing that I have learned from my side forays into Armour modelling. Is that prior to the 1930's, there were no paint standards and no matt or High gloss paints available.

All paint recipes were made up individually in relatively small* batches and they were all mixed with linseed oil which left all paint application with a satin finish.

The NER V1/2 Brake vans proved to be a a bit of a challenge for us because not only were we contending with very small panels on the van sides between the outside frames we were also contending with the fact that the Fox Transfer sheets only had so many of each letter and the text required quite a few M's and N's

After much discussion with Mr M this is what we agreed on.
