The last of any of these kits that I had any real interest in so sent for one.

Really must start building some I think. I have my Polly sitting in my shed " quivering " in case I decide to brandish my soldering iron within three feet of it.

Pictures as usual when it arrives.

    cheers

I'm not sure. A few of his models read sold out but I am sure some came back on other runs. I have just emailed him for PDF copies of some of the models which I have bought as I don't have a disc drive on my laptop. When he responds, I'll ask the question.

    cheers

    Hi York Paul,

forgot to say ...... if his class 24's are not going to be replenished and you are really keen on having one, I have 2. ( i'm sure ) I will part with one if you want it that bad. Just let me know. I'm sure they will be back though. They seem to sell out quite quick contrary to some of the negative comments that his kits attract at times. I've seen these built and they are really nice kits.

    cheers

Here you are Toto a green 24 at Leek station one evening in 1968 shunting out vans ready to make up the 3N01 Leek Mirfield parcels working. Nice

lovely ..... nice and mucked up. :avatar:I've just been discussing the wheels I'll need for my Steve Beattie classes 15, 16, 17, 22, 24 and 25's. should they be solid or spoked. most are solid disc wheels I think but Paul reckons the 22 may have been spoked. I think I'll give slaters a miss as it would cost a fortune but there are other suppliers of steel wheels.

    cheers

The NBL Class 22 had spoke wheels, the BTH Class 24 and Class 25 locos had a series of small holes around the wheels... not sure about the others. As a matter of interest the Class 44 Peak locos also had spoke wheels... you should get one of those Toto.

:scratchchin: Not so keen on the Peaks. They look like girly versions of the 37's. They just need a blonde wig draped over the cab. :avatar:

I think I know what you are referring to with regards to the wheels with the smaller holes around them. I've seen them used elsewhere. Just need to remember where now. Must admit I am surprised at the use of spoked wheels on the diesels. I always thought they were mainly disc wheels. I'm glad I didn't go into one of my cringeworthy debates with Paul on that one otherwise much humble pie would have been on the menu. He loves it when I do that. :whatever:

:avatar::avatar::avatar::avatar: Much of the first generation diesel standards came directly out of steam technology, simple visual examples are buffers and sanding gear valves, now I'm pretty sure I saw maker who supplies the small disc hole wheels for class 24 and 25... but I'm damned if I can remember who it was.

    Hi York Paul,

I've just heard back from Steve Beattie. He can do you a class 24. If you go onto his site, you can email him through the contacts section. Just mention our conversation.

    Cheers

Picked up the class 16 today. All seems ok on initial inspection. I'll have another look in more detail on Friday when I have more time to unpack and inspect it.

Won't bother the pics as I've already posted some when purchasing the first one.

    Cheers

    Toto
