In an effort to complete a few of the many kits and conversions I have in my "special cupboard" (I'm sure I'm not the only one to have a few lying around) I intend to start a few workbench topics to help spur me on to complete a few wagon builds and a couple or three loco builds /conversions that have been sitting around for far to long. So here are a few pictures of the intended victims. First up, one from Jim, over 12 months old now....sorry Jim, but I did start and finish the 2 single bolster wagons from you, ready for the show last year. This kit, purchased December last year when in the UK, from M&M models. I have a selection of extra parts as well which might make up a bolster bogie "E" wagon at the same time as building this one. EMKDE purchased nearly three years ago now Quite looking forward to building this one..... I purchased 2 Westdale suburban kits awhile back and I have started a build thread on them a few months back, which I will up date when i start on them again....but over the last few weeks some how five more have found their way into my collection, including a nice Pullman coach. and finally from PRMRP, two conversion sets to convert two old Triang / Novo Hymek's to a more respectable twin engine model So please once I start these threads, if it goes quiet give me a kick to spur me on. Kim
I built a rake of LNER suburbans a few years ago from Westdale, most of the underframe parts were binned and then scratch built replacements made, unfortunately I sold them when I split from the first wife, I have regretted it ever since as they no longer make them. Pete.
I'll look forward to seeing these come to life, especially the Westdale kits as I've read a bit about these in the past and they are meant to be really good. I'll look forward to your opinion on these. I believe they are no longer available to. Good luck and keep us up to date with your progress. Cheers Toto
