Thank you for the warm welcome!

I think, like many, my railway modelling began in the early teens and then faltered for further education, family etc.

More recently a new friend encouraged me to dig out the old OO gauge stuff get it going.
I have been surprised by how much has changed since my early modelling days. Locomotives and rolling stock have a level of detail and running that was not there in the 1980's. As an electronics engineer, being able to build one's own DCC system is incredible. I'm using a DCC-EX installation but nowhere near using all of the features it offers. I enjoy the challenge of updating old loco's to DCC - getting old chassis to run well on DCC can be, err, challenging. I'm also getting to grips with 3D CAD and printing (using a cheap FDM), but time is not on my side.

I think that's enough of me!
    Regards,
    Dave

Welcome to the challenge, your post today on my Dublo Bo-Bo conversion thread was most welcome.

Hopefully you can join in with 3D printing and CAD for 3D printing postings, these are subjects of growing interest on here as the equipment becomes more affordable.

    Jim :)
