I have given the wheels a lick of paint and once it had dried, gave them a light weathering. I also loosely put the body on and to my eye it seemed higher at the rear, however, I stood it on my short test track placed a wagon behind and the wagons buffers are in line with the locos. I'm having a short break from the loco as I have had an idea for some scenicification at the right hand end of the layout I'm working on but I will be back and hopefully the decals and detailing will be next. Cheers for now, Pete.
Nice one Pete, before youtake a break from this build it occured to me the front end may also need checking against the buffer height... just a thought and you may well have done that already. Nice work mate
I think its a photo illusion, as on the top photo the front looks high and rear low, but the bottom photo appears the other way round, just checking I have the correct glasses on and the're the right way up. It's looking good. I'm sure I've read cab interior colour schemes, but a supplied, and as run may be worlds apart especially late grouping to BR days. Paul
Wondered the same too Paul... think its photo distortion. Really like this nice little engine and Pete is making a smashing job of the build.
Thanks chaps, I've glazed the cabs front windows, what a pita they were, once I've done the rear I will take some photos. Pete.
