You are welcome Sir. Great to see you posting. I hope we can keep your interest with some of the projects that are on going at the moment and also look forward to hearing of what you are up to yourself. Again ....... Welcome aboard.
Hopefully plan to post some progress pictures of a high-realism 7mm BR(M) Region Exhibition Layout I have that is currently under construction. Also recommended to join this group by Andy of Northern Bridge 3D Models, following assistance with his superb 3D Printed detailing, some of which is being used extensively on the Layout!
Excellent. Can't wait to see the layout pics so far. A big thanks to Andy for the recommendation as well. Cheers Toto
Robert and a warm to the forum For it's size the Owd Knotty is excerting it's influence on the forum even with ex Pats like me (I grew up in Blythe Bridge). Looking forward to seeing the layout thread. Once again welcome to the forum Paul
Hi there Robert and to the forum from East Yorkshire, great to have you with us and welcome also to our "super real" club. I have a feeling you are going to raise the bar for modelling again. cheers York Paul
Hello Paul, and fellow Yorkshireman! Hopefully some great ideas can be shared both back and forth during the layout’s progress, with any advice I have also being offered back to the group in return! Kind regards, Robert
Hello Robert ... I'm in Pocklington, absolutely great ideas that goes without saying... info sharing is what we do here and throw a bit of banter into the mix as well. I for one am really fired up ready to follow your layout project.
The links I have for the layout progress are as follows: Thread: Https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?threads/oakstone-br-m-the-7mm-ultra-high-realism-exhibition-layout.4108/#post-66948 Album: https://platform1mrc.com/p1mrc/index.php?media/albums/oakstone-br-m.235/
Great, thanks Paul, I’ll endeavour to keep all who are interested in the project posted with regular updates!
Hi Paul! There’s certainly an element of ‘Owd Knotty’ influence, thanks to Andy Sollis of Northern Bridge 3D Models, in the form of some of his high detail 3D Printed Models used throughout the layout, which I’m sure will stand out to all who know Andy’s work!
It has a range of many varied Steam and very early Diesel from that era, from multiple Goods and Mineral Rakes, a Cowans And Sheldon Breakdown Crane and Passenger Rakes, with iconic scenes recreated featuring the iconic locomotive classes and stock from that era, from Pug Shunters in the Pit Area to the mighty 8F and 9F’s, all DCC with sound and multiple smoke units!
Wow. Now .... The Cowans and Sheldon ....... you have my complete attention. any piccies of that ? I have some MOK 8f's and 9f's as yet unbuilt. Looking forward to seeing some of your stock. Sounds very exciting.
The 35T Crane is still in the final fine detailing and weathering stages, but will post pictures and details for you as soon as it’s in its full glory, filthy British Railways black!
Keep an eye open for the Platform 1 tshirts and if you do see us ..... be sure to introduce yourself. Its nice to put a face to a name. Cheers Toto
