Whilst cleaning up the railway room and the back sun room, I found some old track in a box, two Peco medium left hand points (SL-96) and one Peco 3-way point (SL-99) and I have the old baseboard left over from my first attempt at my layout Tomlins Creek. This baseboard I have measures 11" x 60", so I thought I'd play around on Anyrail 6 tonight to see what I could come up with. After measuring up a few wagons (SDS Milk Tankers, SDS UHG, Silvermaz TRC, Traino 48 Class), I came up with this track plan below for a small milk depot... Now with two more milk tankers, and another TRC or MRC refrigerated van, this could be fun to shunt around. The only extra needed would be a detachable fiddle stick. One good thing about the size is that it can be set up on an ironing board ! This could become a nice little 'lock down challenge' or 'whilst I'm not working' layout, although I do have to work on my main layout.., but this would be fun to build.... The track plan has measurements on it so I could transfer this to the baseboard to get a feel for layout... Threw the plan into paint and added some features... A mock up of how it looks and gives me a general impression of the buildings... Looking down from above. I even place the wagons and loco in position as shown in the second diagram ! Will I build it ?? I guess time will tell and be the answer to that ! Cheers, Gary.
