The track plan for my cement works may be of interest here as well as in my series of articles within the Industrial & Commercial forum.

My layout is primarily for freight operations so is built around a marshalling yard. This cement works is one of the larger scale sites it serves. It is designed to maximise freight traffic operations and does so by expanding the traffic from simply cement out to include different grades of product out as well as other materials essential for cement manufacture in.

    Freight traffic by rail
    :-

In - silica sand, gypsum, explosives, loco coal, maintenance materials, and fine coal if conveyor issues.

Out - raw limestone, bulk cement, bagged cement, scrap and waste.
