Having previously bought components from Brimal Components (brimal.co.uk) in the past, and getting a monthly newsletter from them, it occurred to me that some of the stuff they list may well be of use to others. Some of the 'ready built' panels could be worthwhile to those who don't feel comfortable with the idea of building their own, though if you do feel capable, then maybe MERG (Model Electronic Railway Group) might be an option. Both options worth a look, I've no connection with Brimal except as a satisfied customer, and I'm a MERG member also. Keith.
Hi Keith, I have used Brimal previously for soldering tags from memory and can recommend them as well. A very good service given. Cheers Toto
Thanks for the tip Keith, just had a look at what they do, the CDU (capacitor discharge unit) looks a bargain. Pete.
They also have a sister site www.thehobbyshed.co.uk that has great information in, including how too's and electronics explanations. Well worth a mooch around.
A useful note if you buy electronics, is that although you may have heard of RS Components and Farnell, what you may not know of is a company that is owned by Farnell, that is usually cheaper than them? CPC offer free delivery on orders above £8, have an amazing range and prices that are very competitive. (I use them all the time)
Very useful site, thanks for posting Keith I've also used http://bright-components.co.uk/ - good price and fast service. Paul
Yep, I've also bought from Bright Components, and back when I was working for a living, also used Farnell and RS Components. Keith.
