The last of my recent Gresley purchases from ACE for the moment. That will be the tax rebate blown then. Photos on arrival.

Which one did you get - Cock O The North or Earl Marischal?

I must confess that although I want a P2 I would probably go for the P1 initially.

"Cock o the North" is that not the opening line of your CV :avatar:

Another nice looking Loco Toto, you'll need another tax rebate for the wheels and motor. I prefer them in this guise than the rebuilt 4-6-2. P2 rules OK

I have one of these, when i opened the box it seemed that for a large engine, not a lot of etches or bags of castings, say when compared to a david andrews A1 for example, that said i was missing an etch for the coal space!

Having made a start the same old issues occur tender chassis is flimsy and needs beefing up, I've decided to replace some of the casting with ragstone ones. Picture to follow..

I was planning to do 2007 prince of wales in br blue! Totally fictitious but i imagine would look good..

It'll be nice to get some feedback on the build. Looking forward to the photos.
