    Hi

I have started to use Kadee type couplings on my 00 gauge stock.
As my track was already laid and ballasted, I decided to try the Kadee #321 Magne-matic Uncoupler.

I fitted the uncoupler, but had varied levels of success, It worked for most wagons fitted with Kadee's own couplers, but there very little success with Bachmann EZ-mate couplers.

So after a bit of searching on the net I found a suggestion of using two neodymium magnets. I was impressed by the Youtube videos, and decided to stump and buy some for a test. The authour didn't provide any details, so I experimented and came up with a test piece. The results were impressive, and below is how I made them.

I've used the same 3 rows of magnets on my layout as I've converted all my stock to Kadee's. Works well for me too.
