Hi all glad to be here in the land of railways and banter. Pretty new to Railway modelling (couldn't afford a trainset when I was a kid). Now retired to Nerja Spain and a fan of vino tinto I'm building a plank (plonk) 260cm x 25cm called St Michael based on a quiet backwater near the drinks cabinet. It's oo gauge with mainly post grouping (black?) Airfix rtr, rolling stock by Airfix kits and buildings by Lcut. I'll post some pictures later and look forward to sharing all our journeys.
Hi Ian welcome aboard good to see you here ! Toms lost the cork screw so he's reverting to his favourite tool. . . yup the hammer Vino Tinto everywhere ! Cheers Matt
Hi Ian, Welcome to Plwtform 1. Delighted you are here and I'm sure the place will kick of soon. We are busy making a few changes at the moment in order to get the place how we want it. We will be listening to our members of course should they have any ideas that they want to pitch in. The photo uploading is a bit clunky at the moment but there is a thread in place to help folks to start their journey to photo heaven. We originally took this board software on due to the fact that it is the same software as the YMRC and we would all be familiar with it but there are a couple of things that we have since learned that doesn't suit what we want. The Gallery is one of them. We are actively searching for another software package that fits the bill a bit better and will give our members a better forum experience. We are nearly there with it and once it is 100 % checked out! there will be a short outage to switch the systems over. We will be able to lift all materials posted on here and slot them into the new site so don't fear ........ Post away. Good to hear from you again Toto
