I was having trouble with 1 or 2 items of rolling stock derailing on a certain point.
I renewed the point but was still having a problem
Just bought myself a brass Back-to-Back gauge and checked the rolling stock to find at least 5 items were narrower than the new gauge. I adjusted them till the gauge fitted and no more derailments!!
Why didn't I get one of these a long time ago!! You live and learn!!

    Cheers

Now it’s funny you should say this.

Building my box file layout I’ve obviously got the infill between the tracks. It was all set up on a box van, but when I came to try another wagon, it wouldn’t run freely. I adjusted one of the wheel sets and it’s much improved.

Not had a point issue. - and I stress these are the insulated metal wheel sets, not the fixed nylon ones! :avatar:

One of the wonders of 3D printing I made my own, and tweaked the size until the size was correct, I did the same for both OO & O gauges, and joined them with a piece of barbeque skewer

I use a micrometer to check mine. Then again though, I run vintage Hornby Dublo, so mine are supposed to be a now non-standard 14.2mm....
