I have finally managed to get my layout out of the loft. I hope to finish the decorating of the back bedroom today and to start fitting the layout into the room tomorrow. I hope to start posting soon. I don't think you want to see the fitting of the boards. Maybe next week. Be seeing you Bob
I am in the process of building a layout (I'm at the stage of fitting the legs to the boards) but I can't see me having a great deal done by the end of March, so I don't think I'll be entering it in this competition, although I will be posting updates in the Members' Personal Layouts section of the forum. In any case, in the unlikely event that I won the prize, DCC equipment would be totally useless to me....
I may have a mixture of DCC and Analogue as I have 2 DCC fitted loco's and an early Hornby controller as it came with the diesel shunter. may isolate a section.
I have quite a bit of early Hornby. Here's one of them: I don't think it would be easy to convert to DCC......
We converted a 3 rail dutchess to the old Hornby zero one system. So I don’t see why you can’t do dcc?
Yes, it would be possible, but it wouldn't be as simple as converting a more modern model to DCC. Besides, with over 40 locomotives to convert, I can think of better things to do with my money.
