Thanks Toto its an enjoyable project to get the mojo going after xmas etc ... another view
Very realistic. You can just about wipe the soot from it with your hand.
Excellent work Ian! It reminds me of a bridge I saw in the Isle of Man a few years ago at Balaugh Bridge. It was part of the disused line from Douglas to Ramsey. We used to take our lives in our hands crossing it to get to a good vantage point for the bike racing . Happy days!!
Ooh Ian this looks brilliant a proper old time rail bridge... I can see that you walked down the old Leek & Manifold Valley Light Railway track bed at some point in the past.
cheers York Paul
Wow, that is looking good Ian, I better pull my finger out !
Funnily enough, I ordered the same Scalescenes kit last Thursday night with a view of building something similar. Now I'll have to build something much bigger to compete !
The baseboard ready for 1st stage of water treatment ..your a bit north and east York Paul but keep guessing
Is that birdies Doo doo's I see there Ian . Very authentic.
First layer of water (other 5/8ths nail laquer shhhh) I'm now high as a kite but hey ho I like watching elephants fly ... pebbles and debris next and more water
http://www.click looking good Ian!!
Rubble added so water finished apart from the odd twigs
First lit of ground surface down nearly there
Its looking great Ian and oh by the way congrats on being POTW. Now guessing again... so I need to be South and West of the Manifold... so depending how far south that would take me into Shropshire and the Welsh Boarder. Hmm big area that... okey dokey my next guess goes on a former GW branch either out to Cleobury Mortimer, Much Wenlock or Lightmoor.
cheers for now York Paul
Congrats on pic of the week Ian,
That bridge scene is looking amazing.......
You need to get onto that rust problem though, otherwise the structure may collapse..
First lot of greenery on more to follow then paint on soil and track
Impressive. You've gotta be happy with that. Looks like a winner too me. 🤓
Final push just a bit more to do
fantastic result Ian ...... and the bar has been set I do believe ......
